Introduction & Our Commitment
Sound for Movement ("we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we do (and do not) collect, how we use it, and how we safeguard it when you visit our website at www.soundformovement.com (the "Site") or use our services (the "Services"). We believe in transparency and minimal data collection, taking only what's necessary to provide you with our services.
Information We Collect
Email Authentication & First Names: We use email-based authentication with one-time verification codes (OTP) for user access. We collect your email address so that you can log in, create playlists, like tracks, or download files. We also collect your first name to provide personal experiences on the website and in communications. We do not collect or store passwords—all authentication is handled through secure, time-limited verification codes sent to your email.
Stripe Payment Processing: We utilize Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Customer Portal for all transactions. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Stripe only shares limited data with us to confirm active subscriptions so that we can grant access to certain content or licensing forms.
Aggregate Website Usage: We use essential cookies for account access, security, and requested website functions. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. We collect limited aggregate usage information, such as page views and selected button clicks, without persistent visitor identifiers.
The retained aggregate contains only the UTC date, event name, page path, fixed action name when applicable, and total count. We retain these aggregate counts as operating records. We do not retain raw website analytics events or visitor-level histories, and we do not send these events to third-party analytics providers.
How We Use Your Information
Account Functionality: We use your email address to enable you to create playlists, like tracks, download files, or verify your active subscription status for gated content. We use your first name to provide personal experiences on the website and in communications.
Customer Support: If you contact us (e.g., via email), we may use that information to respond to your questions or technical issues.
Aggregate Website Usage: We use daily page-view and selected button-click counts to understand which parts of the Site are used. These counts do not identify a visitor or connect activity across visits.
Marketing or Promotional Emails (Opt-in Only): If you choose to join our mailing list or opt in during signup, we will send occasional updates about new music, features, and writing. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
Sharing Your Information
Service Providers: We share limited information with Stripe for payment processing. We do not send aggregate website usage events to third-party analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a legal request that compels us to comply.
No Business Transfers: We do not anticipate or plan for mergers, acquisitions, or sales involving user data. Should any reorganization occur in the future, we would update this policy accordingly, but at present, we do not engage in such business transfers.
Data Security & Your Rights
Security Measures: We have implemented security measures (including Content Security Policies and other best practices) within our server-side rendered environment to protect any limited personal data we do hold.
No Method is 100% Secure: While we use our best efforts, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Your Rights: You may request to see or delete the minimal personal information we hold (your email address and first name). If you opt in to our mailing list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
If you wish to stop using our Services, you can discontinue using them at any time. Your data (email and first name) can be removed by contacting us.
Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect operational or legal changes. If we make significant updates, we will post a new policy with the updated "Last Updated" date on our Site.
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or if you want us to delete or modify your personal information, please contact us .
