What it is
a-op is an artist-owned platform for musicians. Artists operate their own fork, catalog, site, customer access, and business data.
Music publishing and streaming form the core. Connected capabilities include protected downloads, licensing, memberships, subscriptions, Courses, video, contact, telemetry, and administration.
What is being built
- Publish releases, albums, tracks, collections, artwork, and credits.
- Stream music through an artist-owned site with playlists, favorites, and listening history.
- Manage protected downloads, licensing, memberships, subscriptions, customer access, and Courses.
- Use ChatGPT Work and Codex to configure, maintain, diagnose, and develop the artist-owned fork.
Release preparation
- ChatGPT Work with Sites for the one-shot private installation path, or Node.js 22.13 or later and npm for local use.
- Each artist supplies their own music, images, writing, video, access plans, and terms.
- Production hosting, domains, email delivery, and live commerce require separate configuration and approval.
